“IT WAS THE FACULTY AT CAXTON THAT CHOOSE CASIO PROJECTION TECHNOLOGY”
AMPARO GIL, PRINCIPAL OF CAXTON COLLEGE

The prestigious British school Caxton College located in Valencia, has decided to opt for CASIO’s eco-friendly projectors. With an integral educational project for children 1 to 18 years of age, Caxton College was one of the first schools to incorporate technology in the classroom and board the train of education 2.0.

“THE KEY, OPTIMAL COMPATIBILITY WITH THE IPAD TABLET”

Some years of experience with mercury projectors in the classroom had been enough to make the leap to the CASIO Green Slim series. Caxton College was able to overcome many of the drawbacks of older projectors such as costly maintenance or reliability problems with the purchase of 70 of these eco-friendly projectors. Since they do not use a mercury lamp, CASIO projectors are able to turn on in seven seconds (preventing students from becoming distracted) and can be turned off suddenly thus optimizing class time.

But the real reason for the change was none of the above. In this case, the optimal resolution of iPad content displayed by Green Slim projectors tipped the balance in favour of the Japanese company.

“It was the faculty that chose CASIO projection technology” explains Amparo Gil, principal of Caxton College, and it was the same teachers who decided to bet on CASIO’s technology when they saw how these projectors doubled the screen surface when projecting from iPads in the classroom while at the same time being more practical to turn on and off.

Today, the more than 1200 students in Caxton College use this technology. And thanks to the solutions offered by CASIO projectors and an Apple TV, the teacher is able to project the content of any of the student’s tablets using wireless connection.
This relationship deepens CASIO’s position as a projecting solution with current technologies and confirms the educational vocation of the Japanese firm with products such as the well-known calculators or the less well-known electronic dictionaries: a commitment to language learning that now reaches Spain and promises a bright future for the relationship between CASIO and excellent British schools such as Caxton.
